1. I am purchasing a new home and have been advised to have it inspected by a Pest Firm. What do you recommend?
A visual timber pest inspection and report in accordance with AS434932010 reporting on visual evidence of termite activity, termite workings and damage, borers of seasoned timbers, wood decay (rot) fungi found.
2. Are your pest control methods going to hurt my children, pets, unborn child?
No. Part of our normal procedure is to ascertain the situation in your property. We use the safest, most modern materials available and will not carry out any work which might cause a problem.
We ask that pregnant women and any children less that 4 years of age be absent while treatment is being carried out and for 4 hours afterwards. This is just to be extra careful in case any allergy-type reactions occur.
Animals must be kept off treated surfaces until they are dry - usually 4 hours
The control agents we use are approved for use in hospitals, child care centre’s, food manufacturing and preparation areas and many other sensitive situations. In most cases these materials are odourless.
3. Will the spray affect humans?
The chemicals we apply are registered to be used in the home, hospitals, schools and public places. Our Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available on request.
4. What do I need to do prior to Cockroach, Flea, Silverfish, Carpet Beetle & Clothes Moth Treatments?
Leaving the driveway clear for our vehicle is a good start. Access to room edges is necessary to spray along the skirting’s. Therefore clothing articles, Magazines, Toys etc should be moved off the ground. All food items should be cleared from bench and table tops.
5. Do I need to Empty my kitchen Cupboards, Pantry and Wardobes?
Yes, you need to empty kitchen cupboards, pantry and wardrobes if necessary. When we are treating for cockroaches, Silverfish, Clothes Moth and Carpet Beetle.
6. Will the spray you use stain my carpet?
No, the emulsion we spray does not stain. It's a water based residual spray that doesn't contain strong solvents which might affect colouring or finishes.
7. I’m planning to have my carpet cleaned. Will that affect the Pest Control treatment?
It's best to do the pest control for cockroaches, fleas, Silverfish and Carpet Beetle after carpets have been cleaned or vacuumed.
8. Is it safe to stay in my premises while you spray? Will I have to leave the house?
It's safe, but we recommend that you vacate your premises while the treatment is carried out and to ventilate the rooms thoroughly after completion for 3 hours before settling back in.
9. My child suffers from asthma. Is it safe to stay?
To avoid triggering an asthma attack, we recommended that he/she is not present while the treatment is carried out, and preferably stays away from the premises for at least 4 hours or overnight.
10. What if I touch areas that have been sprayed?
Sprayed areas are of some concern while still wet. But once the carrier, which is water from the tap, has evaporated, the active constituent adheres to the surfaces and will not contaminate or harm you. Should you get in contact while it's still wet, wash with soap and plenty of water as soon as possible.
11. Will the gel / paste that is applied to the inside of cupboards contaminate my food?
No it will not. The gel / paste is only applied to areas where insects congregate or harbour, like cracks, crevices or hinges.

Yes, it's possible that insects may wonder in from outside. Chances are that they will have crossed treated areas and will die shortly after.

There is no need to wash utensils or surfaces once the treatment is carried out.
14. Is it safe to use Fleas Control and Cockroaches Control Products?
Most cockroach control and fleas control products used today are registered to be environmentally friendly, biodegradable and safe to use around humans and animals. However, it is still recommended to always cover your birds and fish during cockroach and flea treatments.
15. Do you use non-toxic chemicals for cockroaches control, fleas and pests?
In 99.9% of cases no, but for a product to be effective against a pest it has to be toxic for the pest we are treating. However the range of products we use today are derived from natural sources or synthesized from natural derivatives.
A lot of the new generation products target parts of the insect biology that mammals either are not susceptible to, or at least our level of tolerance is far superior to the insect. So by careful selection we can reduce the impact of our treatments on you, your family and your pets
16. Would there be any smell when you spray my home with cockroaches control?
No. Our cockroaches control, fleas control and pest control Treatments are odourless, and odourless products are just as effective (if not more so) that many of the old style products that had odours.
